1922 Plain Wheat Penny
Sometimes known as a wheat penny, a wheat head, a wheatback, and even a wheatie, U.S. one-cent coins minted from 1909 up to 1958 are considered some of the rarest coins around. Some are so rare, coin collectors fall all over themselves to secure a piece of this historical treasure.
Wheat Pennies are primarily composed of copper, with some tin and zinc thrown in. They measure 19mm in diameter and weigh about 3.11 grams each with plain edges.

In one instance, a mint mark on the 1922 coin was never stamped due to an error in the die cast.
