Yeah Yeah, I know this is the Wheat Penny Store website, but we couldn't resist offering the very popular and sought after 2009 Lincoln Cents.

You may have already noticed a couple of banners in the right hand columns that have deals on 2009 Lincoln Pennies at Ebay and at Amazon.  We'll also have some here in this post for you to check out!

Most of the time we are strictly Wheat Pennies, but occasionally when there is a very popular item, we just may put it here on the blog for our readers to check out!  Hope you don't mind 

Did You Know?

Because of  the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005, it will be required for the Lincoln cent's reverse be redesigned in 2009. This will result in the mintage of four different coins showing scenes from Abraham Lincoln's life in honor of the bicentennial of his birth.

1. Lincoln's birth and early childhood in Kentucky;  "Log Cabin Penny"  released on Lincoln's 200th birthday, February 12, 2009
2. Lincoln's formative years in Indiana;  "Indiana Penny" to be released on May 14, 2009
3. Lincoln's professional life in Illinois;  "Illinois Penny" to be released on August 13, 2009
4. Lincoln's Presidency in Washington, D.C.  to be released on November 12, 2009
