1943 Steel Wheat Penny
If you are a collector of Wheat Pennies, then you probably know about the 1943 Steel Wheat Penny and the possibility of this penny being copper. These "wartime" pennies were made of steel because the copper was needed in the war to make shell casings. However, because the mint goofed, some of the wheat cents were minted with copper. If you have one of these in your collection, you have a very rare and valuable 1943 Wheat Penny!
